Oh Hey 30A!

Hi guys!! So as you know, it has been a while since I’ve written a blog post…well this one was worth the wait! This past week we took a family trip down to 30A in Florida. Here is my travel guide to the place where bare feet and sandy floors rule!

First up, location. Before our giant family made their way down to Rosemary Beach, my husband, kids and I went a day early to Watercolor. We stayed at Watercolor Inn, just a short bike ride from the Seaside Square. As it was Saturday morning/afternoon, everyone was packing up to leave or getting into town. Meaning: perfect time to explore Seaside!

Seaside Favorites:

Lunch/Dinner: Bud and Alleys (great rooftop and super kid friendly)

Sweet Treats: Frost Bites, Heavenly’s Shortcakes and Ice Cream

After Ice Cream and cookies, we stopped at Duckies and got a few beach toys and swimmys for the kids!

Then, we took an epic Golf cart taxi to Rosemary. Ubers there are hard to come buy and cost a pretty penny. Many golf carts will go anywhere on 30A, carry your luggage and passengers all for under $30!!

Over the years, we have stayed in Seaside, Grayton, Seagrove, you name it. We finally found our niche in Rosemary. Not to say I don’t like the other towns, but we LOVE Rosemary. As a family of 18, we rented an incredible, beachfront property for the 2nd year in a row and it is so worth it! Rosemary is not so crowded, has way better restaurants and the activities aren’t as over saturated for the kids! I recommend renting chairs about a month in advance. They set them up for you every morning and break them down after you leave for the day! Some chair companies also offer things like bonfires, beach volleyball, bachi ball and cornhole!

Rosemary Favorites

Dinner:

Pescado

One of the best views of Rosemary from their fabulous rooftop. While a little pricey, the cocktails Pork Belly and Cauliflower were my absolute jam!

Cuvee 30A

We took our entire group of 18 here and they accommodated us greatly. From the steak, to the scallops, to the fried oysters. Absolutely to die for.

Havana

This was our first nights dinner and our last night. The waitstaff, piano bar and food brought us back twice to The Pearls restaurant. We started with conch croquets and after I enjoyed their market fish while my husband could not put down his fork to that Blue Fin Tuna.

Lunch:

Cowgirl Kitchen (Great American food, with even better Frosé)

Sweet Treats:

Sugar Shack (Ice cream and candy galore for the kids)

Driving to this strip of heaven is easy from lots of places in the south! However, once you get there, traffic is insane. We stayed on our bikes the entire time for transportation! Nothing is too far from each other! So pedal on down to 30A for your next family beach trip!

XO,

Kylee
